PostgreSQL versions in Managed Service for PostgreSQL
Under PostgreSQL versioning policy, its major versions contain new features, and each major version receives minor releases that contain bug fixes and security fixes.
In Managed Service for PostgreSQL, you can choose a major version for a cluster, and it will be automatically upgraded to new minor versions.
Major versions
The only major version of PostgreSQL available in Managed Service for PostgreSQL is PostgreSQL 15.
Minor releases
Managed Service for PostgreSQL automatically upgrades your clusters to new minor releases of the major versions that these clusters run. The upgrades are carried out as part of cluster maintenance. You can configure the maintenance window for a cluster, but you cannot choose a specific minor release.
